PSI Audio presents A226-MAIN APA-700 main monitor with external amplification

PSI Audio introduces a variation of their A226-MAIN, the active analogue monitor for high-end studio sound. The all-new A226-MAIN APA-700 features the same sophisticated driver configuration and proprietary technology, but utilizes an external Analogue Power Amplifier (APA). The separate electronics can be placed up to five meters away from the speaker, so roll-off, level, and standby can be easily accessed for wall-embedded A226-MAIN. The unit is compatible with 19-inch racks and therefore seamlessly integrates into any professional studio.

APA-700 for easy access and control

The APA-700 takes the electronics from the A226-MAIN and turns them into a remote amplifier. The 3U 19-inch-rack-compatible unit allows for up to five meters of distance between speaker and electronics through a proprietary connection, which makes it perfect for controlling wall-embedded A226-MAIN in professional studios. The APA-700 provides rotary knobs for roll-off and level. The device can also be activated or deactivated through a dedicated standby button.

Sound fidelity at its best

While the APA-700 outsources the amplification section of the PSI Audio A226-MAIN, the speaker itself remains unchanged and delivers the outstanding fidelity the Swiss manufacturer is known for. The newly developed aluminium coil dome tweeter accurately depicts every detail in the high-frequency range. It is carefully paired with the renowned EXD midrange driver from PSI Audio and the two 10-inch woofers with double flow guide bass reflex, which make the A226-MAIN a mighty main monitoring system with an accurate representation of transients whilst delivering a clean and powerful low end.

Modular proprietary technology

As the flagship monitor speaker, the A226-MAIN combines all the proprietary technology that already gave the other PSI Audio speaker models their impressively accurate sound properties. The all-analogue APA-700 honours that tradition by powering the speakers with high SPL output and low distortion. In combination with the Compensated Phase Response (CPR) for perfectly aligned audio reproduction, and the Adaptive Output Impedance (AOI) that monitors membrane movement and optimizes transients, the A226-MAIN APA-700 meets even the highest criteria of demanding listening situations.

Swiss precision manufacturing quality

Like all PSI Audio products, the A226-MAIN APA-700 is developed, built, and calibrated entirely by well-trained specialists in the company’s own manufacture in Switzerland. From the careful selection of components to the final assembly of each unit, every step in the production process is executed with the world-famous Swiss precision.

Lake People MC10 provides excellent monitor control in pocket format

Lake People MC10 monitor controller on a studio desk, featuring a volume knob, headphone jack, and input/output status LEDs.

Lake People introduces its new ultra-compact monitor controller MC10 at NAMM 2026. The MC10 offers digital USB-C input for PCM up to 384 kHz at 32 bit or DSD 256, plus an analogue RCA input. The outputs are realized as XLR, RCA, and headphone jacks, can be switched separately and used simultaneously. The headphone output offers 1/4” or 1/8” jacks. An Alps RK27 potentiometer is used for the volume control.

Ultra-compact listening central: MC10

The Lake People MC10 takes the high-quality monitor management of the MC100 and MC50 and brings it into an incredibly compact format of 108 x 41 x 143 mm. That makes the MC10 the perfect solution for setups with little space – and for use on the road. During travel especially, the MC10 scores with its headphone amplifier in exquisite Lake People quality, fully bus-powered and not dependent on a separate power supply. Since it is a Lake People headphone amplifier, it integrates the Pre-Gain circuitry to tune the amplifier perfectly to the headphones used. The MC10 can optionally also be powered with a separate power supply to conserve battery life of the connected laptop or tablet.

Flexible and versatile inputs and outputs

Two separate inputs and two outputs in addition to the two headphone jacks qualify the Lake People MC10 as a true monitor controller despite its size. The USB-C input accepts digital audio, the superb converter can process PCM with up to 384 kHz and 32 bit or DSD up to DSD 356. Analogue sources can be integrated via RCA, a switch on the front switches between the inputs. Speakers or other devices can be connected via XLR or RCA outputs. The two headphone jacks on the front in 1/4” and 1/8” configuration carry the same signal and can be used simultaneously. Individual buttons activate the respective outputs, so they can be used individually and simultaneously for playback.

Top-shelf components for uncompromising sound quality

Since 1986, Lake People is synonymous with finest quality made in Germany, and the MC10 continues this tradition. Manufactured in the German workshop, the MC10 is made exclusively from carefully selected, high-quality components. For example, the volume is controlled with an Alps RK27 potentiometer with a solid 18-mm knob. The typical Lake People manufacturing precision guarantees a long, reliable product life – even in demanding mobile use.

Zaor MIZA Flow at NAMM 2026: customisable, modular and future-proof desk for modern audio and AV production

Promotional graphic showing modular black studio desk and keyboard workstation configurations on a swirling galaxy background, with “NAMM ’26 Booth 14931” text.

Zaor Studio Furniture introduces the MIZA Flow, an innovative desk for musicians and media professionals that is designed to be modular and customisable. A slot at the back of the desktop can be used to enhance the desk with one or multiple rack modules that hold three rack units each. The slot can also be used to fit a ZaorBit Retro, which then opens the entire catalogue of Triad-Orbit solutions to be attached via the patented IO quick-release system. The Zaor MIZA Flow will be presented at NAMM from 22nd to 24th January 2026 at booth 14931 (ACC North) at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

The desk of possibility: MIZA Flow

Zaor designed MIZA Flow for sound engineers, producers, broadcasters, and musicians. The innovative MIZA Flow desk responds to the rapidly evolving demands of modern audio, audiovisual, and content creation workflows. Built as a sustainable, flexible and upgradeable platform, MIZA Flow allows users to tailor their workspace to their specific needs and even adapt it over time rather than replacing it. Its base offers a large working surface as well as the signature rock-solid pull-out keyboard tray with adjustable keyboard height. This simple and elegant base can then be enhanced and customised with desktop rack units and a large variety of booms and stands to accommodate the specific requirements of each and every user. MIZA Flow is not a desk – it is your desk.

As stacked as required: flexible rackmount solutions

At the core of Zaor MIZA Flow is a modular architecture that supports a wide range of configurations, from streamlined music creation setups to fully equipped professional production environments. The trick is Zaor’s proprietary and protected fixing system that allows for the addition of one or more rack modules on the desktop. Each rack module offers three units of rack space and can be positioned and oriented freely to create the ideal work environment for the application at hand. This ingenious solution makes the desk perfect for every application, offering sheer endless possibilities to tailor and fine-tune its setup to the specific requirements at hand. It can even expand with the requirements: start with one module, later add a second one when the need for rackmount gear has grown. And why not have your go-to preamps all in one module and take them with you when you work somewhere else, only to easily re-attach the rack when you are back? The Zaor MIZA Flow unleashes your gear.

Ready for everything: ZaorBit integration

The slot for the rack modules of the Zaor MIZA Flow serves a second purpose: the integration of ZaorBit Retro. ZaorBit is the result of a cooperation between Zaor and the renowned stand- and boom-solution manufacturer Triad-Orbit. With ZaorBit Retro, the patented IO quick-release system from Triad-Orbit is easily integrated into MIZA Flow, making it possible to quickly attach microphone booms, camera stands, tablet holders and more. The Triad-Orbit solutions hold everything firmly in place, and with the quick-release system, switching between different setups is extremely fast, easy, and convenient.

Quality and ergonomics from Europe

The MIZA Flow perfectly fits into the philosophy of Zaor Studio Furniture to design and build high-quality furniture solutions that support the workflow of creatives and media professionals. “We have been very successful with the MIZA line and wanted to go several steps further in both functionality and style to meet today’s challenges,” says Gilles Bartholmé, COO, Zaor Studio Furniture. “With MIZA Flow, we have created a highly flexible workspace that can accommodate additional attachments through our attachable rack modules and our collaboration with Triad Orbit. Our fixing system is 100% safe, 100% flexible, and allows an almost unlimited number of positions, angles, and combinations.” Like all other products from Zaor, the MIZA Flow is produced in Europe from selected materials. It uses strong wood particle board combined with exquisite solid oak panels to create clear lines, a modern design, and long-term durability.

PSI Audio Custom Pro: exclusive service for specialized listening environments

Professional recording studio with a large mixing console, central display and ergonomic studio chair, surrounded by multiple large PSI Audio floor-standing speakers. Acoustic panels on the ceiling and walls optimize the room’s sound treatment.

PSI Audio modifies its distribution configuration to separate the larger speakers A23-M, A25-M, A226-MAIN, A326 D-REX, and Sub A225-M from the smaller A range. While the latter will continue to be available through the usual retail channels, the newly christened Custom Pro range will only be sold through approved specialized partners. This step is taken to ensure optimal integration of the large speaker systems into the customers’ listening environments in order to allow them to achieve peak performance. Customers can locate their closest PSI Audio Custom Pro partner online at www.psiaudio.swiss/custom-pro

PSI Audio separates the larger speaker systems from its nearfield monitors to offer the best possible service to customers. The new range subsumes the three-way speakers under the label „Custom Pro“.

Custom Pro: the large speakers from PSI Audio

Until now, all speakers from PSI Audio were grouped together in the A series, from the smallest A14-M all the way up to the recently introduced main monitor A226-MAIN. To better support customers in integrating the large speaker systems into their listening environments, PSI Audio remodels the distribution chain and sells these more challenging systems exclusively through approved partners who can provide appropriate demonstration and system integration services. This new Custom Pro range encompasses the A23-M, A25-M, A226-MAIN, A326 D-REX, and the Sub A225-M.

With great power comes great responsibility

The PSI Audio Custom Pro speakers are incredibly powerful, with all the sonic strengths the Swiss manufacturer is known for. To allow these outstandingly accurate listening tools to perform at their best, PSI Audio wants to make sure to give customers optimal guidance, consulting, and service, hence the decision to sell the speakers exclusively through specially approved partners. This way the manufacturer can ensure the customers don’t just get the best monitor speakers, but the best possible listening experience for their respective situation.

Custom Pro approved: the list of partners

This important step for PSI Audio has been thoroughly considered and prepared, and so there already is an extensive list of approved Custom Pro partners with the required acoustic and procedural know-how available on www.psiaudio.swiss/custom-pro. The nearfield speakers from the A range (A14-M, A14-M Broadcast, A17-M, A21-M, A214-M, A215-M), and the subwoofer Sub A125-M will continue to be available through the usual retail channels.

PSI Audio A226-MAIN and A326 D-REX: the full main-monitoring experience

Front view of a pair of large PSI Audio professional studio monitor speakers, each featuring multiple woofers and a central midrange and tweeter section, standing side by side against a black background.

PSI Audio introduces the first extended main monitor system in company history: the combination of A226-MAIN and A326 D-REX. The recently introduced speaker system reaches a total of 132 dB through seven drivers. The A226-MAIN combines two symmetrically mounted 10-inch woofers, the EXD midrange driver and an all-new aluminium coil tweeter, while the A326 D-REX adds three more woofers to fulfil its function as a Dynamic Range EXtender. The two models can be combined as a column, or side-by-side, depending on the installation requirements at hand.

The full experience: big main monitoring from PSI Audio

The A226-MAIN is PSI Audio’s first foray into main monitor territory, now enhanced even further with the A326 D-REX extension. Mounted on top of each other, or side by side, these speakers provide the classic main monitor experience – but with PSI Audio style Swiss precision. The entire range of the spectrum is reproduced perfectly, with flawless dynamics and outstanding transparency. Combined, the system reaches up to 132 dB, more than enough for even the most demanding situations. This is the winning combination, the ultimate in studio monitoring – the real thing.

Power and precision redefined: A226-MAIN

The first PSI Audio main monitor A226-MAIN is an active, all-analogue, three-way speaker with symmetrically configured 10-inch woofers. It combines the renowned EXD midrange driver with a specifically developed aluminium coil tweeter and the double woofers to cover the entire spectrum from 20 Hz to 23 kHz. More importantly, it covers that frequency range with the utmost accuracy, reproducing the signals exactly as they were intended – a feat arguably more difficult with growing speaker size. The exact acoustic alignment of all involved drivers is one of PSI Audio’s most praised qualities, and the A226-MAIN is a showcase for the manufacturer’s proficiency in handling phase: from an impressive 100 Hz upwards, all frequencies are perfectly aligned.

Extending bass reality: A326 D-REX

Since PSI Audio has mastered the art of aligning phase between multiple drivers, the idea of adding more woofers to the system was quite obvious. The result is the A326 D-REX, which stands for Dynamic Range EXtender. As the A226-MAIN already reaches all the way down to 20 Hz, the term “subwoofer” cannot be reasonably applied to the A326 D-REX. Instead, the three additional woofers support the main speaker in the low frequencies, granting the system a more powerful and hence more dynamic bass response, bringing extra clarity and precision. In tandem, the A226-MAIN and the A326 D-REX become utterly exciting in their remarkably exact audio reproduction. For LFE use, the A326 D-REX offers a special mode that opens its frequency band upwards to 160 Hz – perfectly flat, of course.

Absolute accuracy from the smallest to the largest systems

This commitment to sonic accuracy is not new for PSI Audio. In fact, all speakers from the Swiss manufacture adhere to the ideal of uncoloured, true-to-life sound reproduction. As a result, all models are sonically compatible with each other, making it possible to mix and match speakers of different sizes to build more extensive setups, especially immersive installations. The combination of A226-MAIN and A326 D-REX for the main stereo set can easily be enhanced with another A226-MAIN in horizontal configuration as a center speaker, a few A21-M as surrounds and A17-M as ceiling speakers – and all these speakers will work together just fine, creating one homogenous sound field.

Swiss-precision craftsmanship

This level of compatibility between various models can only be achieved with very narrow tolerances in manufacturing the speakers. All PSI Audio studio monitors are handcrafted by skilled specialists at the company’s own workshop in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. To underline this commitment to quality, every single speaker is measured and calibrated in the anechoic chamber, and it comes with its very own measuring protocol.

Yamaha releases OS Update for the YC Series: OS v2.0 features new Voices, new Live Sets, a new Effect, and new Functions

Stage with a Yamaha YC stage keyboard on a stand, a drum set in the background, an amplifier on the right side, and a guitar lying on the carpet in front of the keyboard.

We continue the journey by listening to our customers’ wishes: five years after the launch of the YC61, the models of the YC Series are receiving an OS Update to Version 2.0. This free Update, which is now available for download from Yamaha’s website, includes fresh sounds, a new “old” Chorus Effect and practical functions that prove extremely useful, especially during live performances.

About the YC Series

Designed specifically for live keyboardists, the YC Series provides direct access to the sounds needed on stages around the world. At its heart is an Organ Engine based on Yamaha’s Virtual Circuitry Modelling (VCM) with physical Drawbars. The organ is complemented by an AWM2 Engine and an FM Engine for authentic acoustic pianos, electric pianos, and synth sounds. A multitude of Switches, Buttons, and Knobs provide thoughtful direct access to the key parameters of the sound generation. With a total of three models to choose from – YC61, YC73, and YC88 – there is guaranteed to be the perfect instrument for every stage and every keyboard player.

YC OS v2.0 Update

The update to OS v2.0 brings fresh sounds, smarter functions, and inspiring new Live Sets for live musicians.

• New Voices:

CFX2 – New Yamaha flagship concert grand piano

GS1 FM Voices – New GS1 inspired FM sounds

• New Chorus Effect:

GS1 Ensemble – A lush Effect inspired by the legendary Yamaha GS1

• New Live Sets:

Double the number of Live Set Pages from 20 to 40

24 new updated Live Sets on Pages 1-3

Each Live Set has all Parts ready to go with matched Octaves, Effects, and pedals

• New Functions:

Section SW Mode – Held notes sustain naturally when you turn their Section off until you release the keys – perfect for seamless sound transitions

USB Host Functionality – Connect another keyboard via USB and play the YC Sound Engines directly

Fresh sounds

With the legendary GS1, Yamaha created an 8-Operator FM Tone Generator in 1981 that proved FM’s market readiness before turning the synthesizer world upside down two years later with the DX7. With OS v2.0, eight sounds that replicate the classic sounds of the GS1 are now being added to the YC Series.

To match, the Effects Section has been expanded to include the “GS1 Ensemble” Chorus, which perfectly enhances the vintage FM sounds.

The Piano Section has also been expanded: elaborate Samples of the brand-new CFX2 concert grand piano offer outstanding expression, optimised resonance, and an extended dynamic range.

Thanks to OS v2.0, the YC now offers twice as many Live Set Pages as before, with a total of 40 Pages. Each Page contains eight Slots. The first three Pages are preloaded with new Live Sets, providing welcome inspiration.

The new sounds are presented in this demo video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/niioTAeqQ-E

New Section Switch Mode

OS v2.0 allows you to determine how the Sound Engines should behave when the respective Section is switched off. In “Realtime” Mode, the sounds of the switched-off Section are stopped immediately. In “Next-Key” Mode, on the other hand, the notes of a switched-off Section continue to sound until the corresponding keys are released. Ideal for smooth transitions between sounds.

MIDI Input via USB [TO DEVICE]

Starting with the new OS v2.0, class-compliant MIDI devices such as external keyboards can now be connected to the USB [TO DEVICE] terminal to control the YC’s Tone Generation from additional keyboards — only via USB instead of MIDI.

This Update makes the YC Series even more powerful for live performers. Whether you’re layering pianos with lush pads or organs, diving into FM land, or controlling everything from one keyboard, YC OS v2.0 opens up new creative possibilities.

During guided tours, visitors can follow every step of the manufacturing journey and see how Kii’s high-end music systems come to life. There will also be plenty of time to engage directly with the production team and ask questions. Registration for the tours takes place on-site.

Kii Audio warmly invites all music and home cinema enthusiasts to be part of this special event. To ensure the best possible experience for all attendees, we kindly ask for a short registration via email at OpenDays@kiiaudio.com.

Visitors can also look forward to excellent hospitality, with refreshments available on-site. For electric vehicle owners, a free charging station will be available at the Kii Audio headquarters.

Special Invitation for Media Representatives

In addition to welcoming private audio enthusiasts, Kii Audio warmly invites media representatives to join the event. Members of the press are kindly requested to register separately via the designated PR contact.
