The SPL-X series from Velodyne Acoustics is built on the same cutting-edge DSP platform that powers the acclaimed MiniVee X and SC1500 models. With an expanded feature set, the SPL-X subwoofers are available in 10″, 12″, 15″, and 18″ sizes. Their stylish curved cabinet design is inspired by Velodyne’s premium Digital Drive Plus series. Robust construction ensures peak performance: The cabinets feature 38mm thick walls, internal bracing for added rigidity, and support for the powerful magnet systems of the high-performance drivers.
Unlike many Bluetooth or Wi-Fi-based solutions, WiConnect System 2 operates with extreme low latency and without audible compression. This makes it ideally suited for music playback, movies and gaming applications, where precise timing and synchronization are essential.
Maximum Flexibility with Extended Range
With a wireless range of up to approximately 30 meters, the system is well suited for larger rooms and flexible speaker placement. A single transmitter can communicate with up to four receivers simultaneously, allowing multiple subwoofers or loudspeakers to be integrated into one setup. Thanks to its compact dimensions of 90 × 32 × 90 mm (W × H × D), WiConnect System 2 remains discreet and easy to position.
Compact Design, Versatile Application
Both transmitter and receiver are powered via USB (5 V, 1 A). As many current Velodyne Acoustics subwoofers and modern AV receivers are equipped with USB-A ports, a separate power supply is often not required. This ensures a clean, simple and uncluttered installation.
