Lake People introduces its new ultra-compact monitor controller MC10 at NAMM 2026. The MC10 offers digital USB-C input for PCM up to 384 kHz at 32 bit or DSD 256, plus an analogue RCA input. The outputs are realized as XLR, RCA, and headphone jacks, can be switched separately and used simultaneously. The headphone output offers 1/4” or 1/8” jacks. An Alps RK27 potentiometer is used for the volume control.
Ultra-compact listening central: MC10
The Lake People MC10 takes the high-quality monitor management of the MC100 and MC50 and brings it into an incredibly compact format of 108 x 41 x 143 mm. That makes the MC10 the perfect solution for setups with little space – and for use on the road. During travel especially, the MC10 scores with its headphone amplifier in exquisite Lake People quality, fully bus-powered and not dependent on a separate power supply. Since it is a Lake People headphone amplifier, it integrates the Pre-Gain circuitry to tune the amplifier perfectly to the headphones used. The MC10 can optionally also be powered with a separate power supply to conserve battery life of the connected laptop or tablet.
Flexible and versatile inputs and outputs
Two separate inputs and two outputs in addition to the two headphone jacks qualify the Lake People MC10 as a true monitor controller despite its size. The USB-C input accepts digital audio, the superb converter can process PCM with up to 384 kHz and 32 bit or DSD up to DSD 356. Analogue sources can be integrated via RCA, a switch on the front switches between the inputs. Speakers or other devices can be connected via XLR or RCA outputs. The two headphone jacks on the front in 1/4” and 1/8” configuration carry the same signal and can be used simultaneously. Individual buttons activate the respective outputs, so they can be used individually and simultaneously for playback.
Top-shelf components for uncompromising sound quality
Since 1986, Lake People is synonymous with finest quality made in Germany, and the MC10 continues this tradition. Manufactured in the German workshop, the MC10 is made exclusively from carefully selected, high-quality components. For example, the volume is controlled with an Alps RK27 potentiometer with a solid 18-mm knob. The typical Lake People manufacturing precision guarantees a long, reliable product life – even in demanding mobile use.
