The VI-Q series from Velodyne is now available at specialized dealers. The manufacturer’s latest subwoofers showcase everything that distinguishes Velodyne subwoofers with powerful Class D amplification, highly efficient switched-mode power supplies, and ultra-light carbon fiber diaphragms. Additionally, the three models feature XLR connections and an exceptionally massive front made of a 21-layer multiplex panel with a material thickness of 50 millimeters to achieve particularly low distortion values.
VI-Q: Numerous Connections for Optimal Connectivity
The VI-Q series offers sealed subwoofers with lightweight carbon fiber diaphragms, 3-inch voice coils, and particularly large magnets for precise and powerful bass reproduction. They are available in three sizes (10 inch, 12 inch, 15 inch) and are suitable for both compact living room systems and full-scale home theaters. Convenient operation is enabled by a 5V USB port for the upcoming V-Connect system for wireless connection. Additionally, there is a trigger input and a pairing button for the app. Connection options include XLR, RCA, and speaker terminals on the back – ensuring optimal connectivity.
Powerful Bass in a Massive Enclosure
The powerful 15-inch model of the VI-Q series offers a maximum sound pressure of 120 dB and Class D amplification of 650 watts RMS or 1200 watts maximum. The 10-inch model has 450 watts RMS (850 watts max.) and the 12-inch subwoofer 500 watts RMS (900 watts max.). The enclosures enhance any living space with their simple design and are precisely tuned for optimal bass. An absolute unique selling point in this price range is the massive 50 mm thick multiplex front panel for low distortion values. The driver cover sits firmly without magnetic mounting to stay in place even at high levels.

Automatic room correction has long been an important component of Velodyne Acoustics’ flagship subwoofers. With the iWoofer™ app for room adaptation including a 25-band parametric equalizer, the VI-Q series models now offer users full control.
