IFA 2025: Sharp e-bikes – Flexible and sustainable transport options for the future

Sharp has brand new categories and multifaceted e-bike models in store for the IFA!

Berlin, 04. September 2025 – Sharp is showcasing what modern electric personal transportation could look like tomorrow at this year’s IFA 2025. With its latest categories, Folding, Fat Bike, and City, Sharp has laid the foundation for its new e-bike lineup, which is now being expanded with SUV, TriCycle, Micro Mobility, and Youth Bikes for children. The wide variety of models and categories means that electric enthusiasts of all ages will find their perfect match. Sharp is thus continuing to pursue its goal of designing environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional means of transport for a greener future.

Commuting, folding, carrying loads: with Sharp’s folding, fat, and city bikes

If you are looking for flexible solutions for transporting people and luggage, Sharp has the answer. The new folding bikes are not only equipped with high-quality motor technology, up to seven gears and a long range – they can also be folded up to save space when continuing your journey by bus or train. The new fleet can be stored more efficiently in smaller urban apartments and basements.

For the next models of fat bikes, Sharp is focusing on even more robust frames/steel frames and powerful motors (250 W motor). These include a new cargo long tail and cargo fat bike, which are designed for transporting loads, shopping, and more.

The range of city bikes is also expanding, which will significantly change urban mobility. The models come with an integrated battery with a maximum range of up to 160 km. Powerful motors ranging from 250 to 600 W make the journey home from work, leisure activities, and other destinations easier. The Urban Cargo Bike with storage space on the rear and front wheels is ideal for carrying loads in urban areas.

More mobility for everyone: SUV, tricycle, youth, and micro bikes

The new Sharp Micro Bike is a mix of an e-scooter and an e-bike, combining the advantages of scooters with the comfortable ride and seat of a bicycle. You can choose between using the battery or pedaling manually. Those who prefer three wheels to two will find the Sharp TriCycle a stable e-bike that can easily transport luggage and riders from A to B at speeds of up to 25 km/h. To ensure that children can also enjoy electric riding fun, Sharp is also adding three new youth bikes to its wide range of e-bikes.

For sporty and longer distances on varied terrain, Sharp has developed three new SUV/trekking bikes, which are equipped with robust aluminum or steel frames. Sharp offers these in different sizes, motor types, and battery capacities to suit every need.

The new line-up of Sharp e-bikes will be available in stores from 2026.

Strong partners for innovative E-Mobility

Sharp is proud of its many partners who enrich our products with essential features, particularly in the field of e-mobility:

With the secure solutions from FIDLOCK, we offer an innovative fastening system that combines magnetic force with mechanical locking, enabling secure, intuitive, and lightning-fast opening and closing.

Sharp and FIDLOCK have agreed on a partnership at the IFA. It includes a FIDLOCK range from the VACUUM, TWIST, and PINCLIP series that is tailored to the respective Sharp e-bike and e-scooter models. Retail partners can put together custom bundle deals from the extensive portfolio to offer both at the POS and online.

MotoBoost is the unique bicycle gear system with automatic terrain adjustment, which significantly reduces muscle strain and improves energy transfer on Sharp Bikes.

Tuya is an open smart home platform that enables manufacturers such as Sharp to develop connected devices such as speakers, televisions, and much more that can be controlled via a shared app and cloud infrastructure.

Together with car manufacturer BYD, Sharp is demonstrating the perfect symbiosis in e-mobility. Our products complement each other not only in terms of design and performance, but also in terms of seamless cooperation and practical integration – Sharp e-bikes fit perfectly into the trunk of cars.
